I'm looking for some shoes for a city break that will be comfy and fit my wide feet [but not be my default crocs].
These have been recommended to me but I can't decide if they're hideous or not - any other recommendations from others afflicted in this way are welcome!

OK as a trainer alternative with jeans but would look heinous/orthopaedic with skirts!

dottyaboutstripes · 26/11/2013 17:26

I'm going to be blunt. They are vile

Financeprincess · 26/11/2013 17:30

You are funny! (And blunt)

AngiBolen · 26/11/2013 17:41

What are they for? They will look awful with sock. Maybe OK for a stroll in the summer. Where you won't see anyone you know.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/11/2013 18:00

Hideous. Sorry but they are.

KrabbyPatty · 26/11/2013 18:03

I am sorry to say that they are frumpy and fugly.

JennySense · 26/11/2013 21:21

Lol! Well, that confirms to me that hanging out on here is worth it - my spidey sense gave a little twinge in the frump direction - pre-mumsnet S&B, there would have been nada.

The search continues...

Will the city be warm, cold, in between? Will you be wearing skirts or trousers? Socks or no socks? I like leather Converse, with an insole in to make them a bit springier. Otherwise, I'd probably go for ankle boots, unless it's too warm for them.

Fairylea · 26/11/2013 21:30

Eeeek. Vile. Sorry.
