The Liberty sale

I'm thinking of buying a Liberty print scarf. It's quite a big decision as they are not cheap, but they are so beautiful I think it will be worth it. Does anyone know if this kind of item (ie, Liberty own brand, not really seasonal or trend-driven) goes into the Christmas sale at Liberty? There is an offer currently that gives £30 off a £150 spend at Liberty, a 20% saving, but this expires on 24 December. I'm wondering whether I should just use this offer now to buy the scarf, it wait to see if it goes in the sale, but uf not, I would lose the £30 voucher.

I know, first world problems in extremis, but this would be a big purchase for me, so would be good to save if possible.

Buy on 24th dec and then return if it goes on the sale. I would if I were sufficiently organised

Now see, that is a good solution and very sensible, thanks.

You might even find they've extended the return date for Xmas as I've seen a few shops do that. Thereby allowing you to buy it earlier. But don't take the tags off!

Indeed - would need iron will to not take out of bag and wear as I know it will be Thing of a Beauty just waiting to be worn. Will be good for strengthening willpower...

I have a few friends who work there and if I remember correctly correctly a few of the styles do go into the sale. I'd buy on 24th, then return it and repurchase if your chosen scarf is reduced Grin

Word of warning re Liberty sale. Make sure you have received items bought in sale before you return the scarf. Every single year, without fail, I buy online in sale only to get an email a few days later to 'sot or all items out of stock. Liberty online in sale is terribly organised.

to say most or all, weird gremlin has taken over my predictive text function

Top tips, thanks. Now I just need to decide which one which may take a while Confused. I know it's a lot of money, but I really do think it will be something I will love and wear for years. (Hmmm, who am I trying to convince?!)

A few of them go in the sale, but not many.

They are things of beauty, to treasure forever. I have one, and I do not regret buying it Wink

OP, I just received an email saying there's 20% off liberty scarfs if you are a loyalty member this weekend. It is free to join, might be worth going for it, then you get the scarf you want discounted rather than what goes into sale......

Tweet, thanks, I am a loyalty member. Am off to Liberty on Sunday, so may be the time to strike...! Wink
