coat help please stylish lovelies :)

i normally wear a wool winter coat , have a pea coat style and a short duffle style . But after looking at this years snow forecast and the fact that i dont drive i dont think they are going to be warm or cosy enough.
i am loathe to swap them really for a great big outdoorsy number , is that my only option ? has anyone yet found a half way house . warm and good looking ?

if anyone has any suggestions how i can keep warm without looking too crap i would much appreciate it !
