Any Romantic Naturals here? Basically is Dramatic/Romantic.

Also anyone come across any reasonably priced black leather hip belts please? X

MickleMe · 21/11/2013 22:08

carrie74 that's what i'm hoping really, it will be good to feel completely sure and then I can start investing in a wardrobe.

I'm now booked in for 1st Dec and feel excited and nervous, no idea why! I've been doing slimming world for the last 5 weeks and i'm now 1/2 a pound off 1 stone loss. I'm determined that this time next year I'll be looking as fabulous as I possibly can Grin

carrie74 · 23/11/2013 08:38

I did a monster shopping browse yesterday and come away with 2 lippys (a bright pink and a red Maybelline 24hr jobby. My goodness, they have staying power!!), and 2 Ts from Gap, the super soft ones in pink and a bright blue.

Also considering the Gap merino jumper in green, grey cashmere, grey skinny cord leggings.

Then went to local premium denim place and tried on some Goldsign Misfit skinnies in black. OMG, they're fabulous. £230 of fabulous [weeps]. Definitely going on US wish list (H is going in Feb, I'm going in April).

I'm idly looking at getting some Hudson or similar ankle boots, but really fancied a beaten up brown kind of look. Would you? Have a look at this Gap style lookbook, some great colours, and even some brown boots..: www.gap.co.uk/browse/division.do?cid=56725&mlink=5058,7358927,HP_M1_LD_EU&clink=7358927

Hi, can I join? Have been diagnosed as a jewel winter. Have gone through my wardrobe but am currently 35 wks pg so am not going to be in a position to shop for a few months yet.

Didn't stop me torturing myself looking at some nice, great coloured clothes in Gap yesterday...

Guess I'm here mostly for inspiration & support while I bide my time! Oh, and try to get used to the exceptionally bright fushia lipstick I was told was good for me. Even without glasses on, it fair freaked me out. Thank god for the Revlon lip butter recommendations on here Grin

SorrelForbes · 23/11/2013 11:04

QueenCadbury I really like the Zara bag, many thanks!

MissScatterbrain · 23/11/2013 11:07

Currently wearing a cobalt blue snood scarf from Primark (it was £2!) with last year's black Gap Merino v necked jumper (and a thermal vest underneath), taupe cord skirt, woolly tights and matching boots. Amazing how a bit of jewel colour can bring an rather dreary outfit to life.

Welcome One Smile

carrie74 · 23/11/2013 11:11

Hi one dog. I was diagnosed a jewel winter on Monday, and the bright lipstick is startling. I'm having a go though, see what happens. I did get told 3 times yesterday I was looking well....

I was quite impressed with the winter colours in Gap, actually. Funnily enough, some of them I've always been quite attracted to, but have shied away as I felt I would look better in neutrals, or they wouldn't go with other things. Now I know I can still wear navy, and shock black! I'm quite excited by it all. Wearing the new pink T, with tie dye jeans, and biker cardy with a scarf of all the colours to bring it together. And BRIGHT PINK lippy.

onedogandababy · 23/11/2013 11:46

Am liking that grey quilted biker. I saw a bright pink felt one in gap yesterday.

I think my issue with the lipstick is that I never wear it, it's just alien to me and to go from nothing to bright pink is just too much. I can't imagine how my friends/family will react! I need to work up to it slowly...

carrie74 · 23/11/2013 11:56

I feel the same about lipstick, I never normally wear it: it'll definitely be the biggest change for me. But I figure in for a penny and all that. Chances are I won't be able to keep it up. Some less in your face yet still jewel winter recommendations would be good though. Maybe a tinted lip balm?

MissScatterbrain · 23/11/2013 16:41

There's a sale at Boden - what do you all think of this dress? - also tempted to get this in black.

carrie74 · 23/11/2013 17:07

Hi MissS, I'm not sure about the first dress: the colours look a bit too soft for me, but it's hard to tell on screen. I like the second dress in black, looks like it would be a good all-rounder.

KosherBacon · 23/11/2013 17:11

MissSB what colours were you thinking for those dresses? I don't think any apart from black are in the winter palette. Some of the patterns have winter colours in but have dominant colours that aren't in the palette.

I've just got a great lipgloss for dark/ sultry winters- Bordeaux by Revlon. I got it for £2.50 from eBay and it arrived the next day. Google some swatches of it, it's great. Very well pigmented and not sticky at all for a gloss.

MissScatterbrain · 23/11/2013 17:16

Both dresses in black. I need a LBD that's suitable for celebration lunches so not too vampy/partyish - I can easily ring the changes with belts, cardigans/jackets and necklaces. Think I will get both and see which looks best on me.

Pufflemum · 24/11/2013 14:38

Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for chunky winter coloured jumpers? I had a fab charcoal one from Me & Em which i have just shrunk to barbie sized in the wash (sob). I have plenty of fine knits but need some warmer options for these cold days. Thanks

KosherBacon · 24/11/2013 17:06

Pufflemum I have a couple of woolovers cashmere and merino blend jumpers. They aren't chunky but they are very warm. I have rich rose and blueberry colours, both of which match the swatches well. They do bobble a bit and need a good de-fuzzer. The styling on the website is awful and the sizes are generous- I'm a 14-16 and wear a medium. Oh and it can all go in the machine.

FaceDirectionOfTravel · 24/11/2013 18:19

I bought that Tesco red jumper - thanks for the encouragement all! Not a colour I would have ever bought but it looks fine ...and very Christmassy!

ElizabethBathory · 24/11/2013 22:44

Pufflemum sorry to hear about your me&em jumper, that's so annoying! I accidentally shrank a whistles merino dress to teddy bear size last year :( What do you mean by chunky? The Boden cable jumper in navy is a lovely bright winter navy. I didn't keep it because I have a bigger top half than bottom half (inverted triangle?) so chunky tops do me no favours. But it's very cosy and good quality.

Do any of you wear cream blushers? I am after one!

KosherBacon · 25/11/2013 05:54

elizabeth I have the Bobbi brown pot rouge in pale pink and it's great. It's not too blue toned, just a bright light pink. Raspberry us meant to be a good colour too.

SorrelForbes · 25/11/2013 07:09

I'm after a cream blusher too. Chanel do a lovely one as there are a couple of suitable colours which in currently dithering over!

FaceDirectionOfTravel · 25/11/2013 07:40

Can anyone remind me if there is a red lipstick in the Revlon lip butters range? I bought the Berry Smoothie which is nice but not great with red :)

Kahu · 25/11/2013 07:51

Elizabeth have a look at Stila cream blushers. I have a lovely one, sorry can't remember the colour & it's worn off the label (have had it for years!)

I have that Gap skirt in the navy print. It looks very short on the model - I'm 5'3 & it sits at the perfect point just about an inch or so above the knee on me if that helps.

QueenCadbury · 25/11/2013 10:42

face there's red velvet. It's a dark red rather than bright.

FaceDirectionOfTravel · 25/11/2013 12:20

Thanks, Queen. Flowers

SorrelForbes · 25/11/2013 13:53

Just splurged at the Chanel counter and bought the cream blusher in shade 65 and the Coco Shine lipstick in shade 80. They're both quite a bright, fuchsia shade but very wearable.

I also saw a lovely velvet (tux shape) jacket (in Debenhams) by Ossie Clark. It also comes in purple. unfortunately I can't find it on the websiteto do a link.
