Drinking water, glycolic from Bravura and not wearing primer (gives me milia around my eyes)

bawabod · 27/12/2013 17:51

water water water made a massive difference to my skin about 5pints a day and plenty of loo stops on the way Wink

AlaskaNebraska · 27/12/2013 18:36

oh fgs with the water myth

Pipachi · 27/12/2013 18:58

Lots of water, no booze - that's nothing new.
And Weleda Wilde Rose day cream.

Belindaearl2 · 27/12/2013 20:31

Running 3 times a week

Fukeit · 27/12/2013 22:30

Salicylic acid peels. Acne loads better, skin softer and brighter.

Leo35 · 27/12/2013 22:48

I second running. Gets the blood pumping!

CestelloAnnunciation · 28/12/2013 09:49

Cuttng out booze and caffeine, sadly

MadeOfStarDust · 28/12/2013 09:52

Stop showering, bathe instead... hair is sooooo much nicer too!

Crusoe · 28/12/2013 11:02

Zero alcohol, lots of water and Superdrug vit e cleanser!

bawabod · 28/12/2013 21:23

Sorry AlaskaNebraska but it aint no myth. My moisturiser goes on more smoothly, the dark circles have lightened under my eyes not disappeared, but I have continued with my other vices just increased my water intake dramatically, for me anyway !!

AlaskaNebraska · 28/12/2013 22:41

scientifically, there is NO evidence

WhereIsMyHat · 28/12/2013 22:51

Cutting out dairy products was the best thing I ever did for my skin. I've struggled to maintain it over the Christmas period though.

Ememem84 · 28/12/2013 22:56

Eating healthy, exercising more, drinking more water, less caffeine, less booze, clarins cleanser and moisturiser and night cream.

Spherical · 28/12/2013 22:57

Dermalogica daily microfoliant

TossedSaladsAndScrambledEggs · 28/12/2013 22:59

Using tretinoin. Has finally sorted out my adult acne and my skin is like a 20 year olds. I am 31 but get asked for ID regularly when buying booze! Smile

DipMeInChocolate · 28/12/2013 23:07

Gentle exfoliation every day, loads of moisteriser. A little spritz of fake tan and some sparkly lotion thingy. Lots of water definitely helps.

DipMeInChocolate · 28/12/2013 23:09

Being overweight helps the wrinkles Wink

FunnysInLaJardin · 28/12/2013 23:10

lots of walking and nivea face creams. Always used to use Clarins and Lancome but finances dictated Nivea and it is fab. Also witch hazel for the odd spot! Oh and sleep, as much as I can get ideally 10 hours a night!

thisismyYuleTimenickname · 28/12/2013 23:14

WhereIsMyHat - have you cut out all dairy products, even butter? I have been thinking of trying this but not sure if I'm able to cut out everything with milk in it.

Knottyknitter · 28/12/2013 23:15

Stopping the pill...

Strangely don't remember skin getting worse when I started it.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 29/12/2013 00:05

Water definitely makes my skin look more plumped up and hydrated. I guess it only makes a difference if you are ALREADY a bit dehydrated. I probably don't drink enough. I just forget to for hours on end then realise I'm REALLY thirsty. When I make the effort to drink regularly throughout the day then yes, it does make me look a little less haggard and parched . Grin I don't think it IS a myth.

RawCoconutMacaroon · 29/12/2013 08:31

Adopting a Paleo/Primal diet a couple of years ago. That's gluten free but no grain of any sort either (so no "gluten free" junk food). Lots of coconut oil, leaves, veg, protein and fat.

I'm 45 and my skin is amazing (clear fresh and young) no spots, blotches, chicken-skin on legs and arms, no Rosacea, provided I stay on the diet.

I use a retinol cream twice a week and rarely use make up or moisturisers.

madmomma · 29/12/2013 08:34

My skin looks much better when I drink tons of water. I couldn't care less about scientific evidence for something I've directly experienced.
