Botox

Specialbrew · 19/11/2013 21:52

For me giving up milk. I switched to soya about a year ago and the difference it has made to my skin is amazing. No more painful spots or greasy skin.

Things that made no difference: giving up fags and booze. I think giving up these has a long term effect, but in my case, giving up these for long periods (6 months) made no difference. Have since stopped smoking, but drink is another thing altogether!

Going on the Pill (Yasmin). It was an overnight miracle, adult acne gone within weeks and never to return.

Also, exfoliating scrub once a day.

noddyholder · 19/11/2013 22:02

Hot cloth cleanse
Decleor neroli oil day
Decleor aroma night balm
L'oreal age perfect moisturiser

lurkingaround · 19/11/2013 22:03

Roaccutane. Without a doubt. Transforming.

WrenNatsworthy · 19/11/2013 22:09

5:2 and Neal's Yard EVERYTHING.

fliedpiecatcher · 19/11/2013 22:20

Microfibre cloth. All flaky bits round my nose that I used to have to treat with steroid cream have disappeared and skin looks clearer and colour more even. Got mine from Amazon and gave DD one. She has blackheads and said the cloth has helped more than anything else she's tried.

Someone asked up thread where to buy coconut oil. I get mine from Waitrose but Holland and Barrett also have it and I think some larger Tesco's stock the same one as Waitrose. You can also get it online.

FaddyPeony · 20/11/2013 00:06

Remus what kind of difference has the iron made please?

Mnippy · 20/11/2013 02:15

Microfibre face cloth. Got mine from John Lewis.

Double cleansing / Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish with flannel. Every night without fail!

MinimalistMommi · 27/12/2013 09:20

Marking place, what a great thread!

CarpeVinum · 27/12/2013 09:28

The Dermaflannel.

Better than turnaround cream and "burn your face off" acid peels... considerably cheaper too.

mcgilly · 27/12/2013 11:11

Reading Caroline Hirons really thoroughly - especially her cheat sheets. Then reading my product ingredient labels.

She has saved me so much money and my skin looks so good. I especially love Hydraluron.

SundaySimmons · 27/12/2013 13:21

Ignoring anything suggested by Caroline Hirons!

Until they discontinued it, Panoxyl was the best thing ever.

I have used a foot scrub on my face for years, yes that's right a foot scrub, totally against what Hirons suggests and I am virtually wrinkle free and am a lot older than her.

Moisturize day and night, all over.

Stay the same weight. I've seen slim women with lovely skin put on weight and get congested ruddy completions, and fat women lose a lot of weight who become very wrinkled. Those on constant diets with fluctuating weight seem to look the oldest with their skin.

I used to have regular facials, botox, microdermabrasion but now only have a facial occasionally.

BananaNotPeelingWell · 27/12/2013 13:31

I know this about skin care rather than makeup, but my goodness I cannot rate Estee Lauder Daywear BB Cream highly enough.

goodasitgets · 27/12/2013 14:27

Caroline hirons (adapted) advice has made my skin incredible
Am - milk cleanser, hydrating toner, moisturiser
