Dry flaky forehead. Help please!!

In the winter I get really dry skin on my forehead, under my eyebrows and across the bridge of my nose. It's embarrassing because it flakes off- almost like dandruff. The rest of the year I have pretty good skin- hardly ever get spots or greasy skin. I use moisturiser in the mornings. I'm in my early 30s. Would appreciate any advice

Vaseline before you go to bed. Not an attractive look, but it works.

Make a concoction of olive oil and sugar. Use it as a face scrub. Rinse off.

Wow, thanks. I will give both of those a try! And i have it all in the house already. Would you do the oil and sugar thing at night or in the morning? What ratio of oil to sugar?

I find Eve Lom great for this if you can stretch to it? It does last a long time.

I'm afraid to say that the real solution to this is to drink a lot more water. You can use vaseline etc and it will work a bit but it's being caused by heating etc drying out your skin and the best remedy for this is definitely more fluids. I have had this in the past and the only thing that really makes a difference long term is water.

Body Shop Aloe Vera night cream.

I could honestly not drink much more water if I tried! Am very very hydrated! I run a lot outside so had thought it was the cold air- hadn't even thought about the heating! Doh!! Thanks for the tips! I will try the cheaper stuff first and move on to eve Lom if I am still a flaky mess in a few weeks

If you run a lot outside it may well be chapped skin. Try a barrier cream on your face before you run. Natural Beauty have a good selection on their website.
I also just invested in Aveda single note sandalwood. It is pricey but works wonders on me.

My husband gets this. It helped changing his shampoo to non SLS, he uses LizEarle mainly. A cleansing balm or oil sounds like good advice. I'd try some coconut oil on there too.

Husband and I often get this around this time of the year. I think its when the seasons change and your skin needs to adjust to the colder temperature. Ours usually settles after a few weeks.

Pleased to report back - dry forehead no longer dry! Thanks for your input everyone. I've been putting vaseline on some nights (not every night or skin gets greasy/bumpy), drinking even more water than usual, covering my forehead when running and using an expensive day cream. Can't tell whats working so I'm going to keep doing all of it!
