bra guru's, help me!

So, I have lost a little weight and need a new bra. I measure 34 underbust and 40.5 overbust. Problem is, I'm currently wearing 34 backs and I can pull them at least four or five inches away from my back. I tried a 32 back on, well, I tried to, but I couldn't even get it close to fastening! What size should I be and what brands would be a good bet to try? TIA Thanks

34E, 32F would be a starting point
How old are your 34 bands, have they stretched? Can you do up the 32 band front to back?

My current 34 bands are maybe three or four months old. Have only been hand washed and drip dried, never been in the washer or dryer

You sound like someone who 'squishes' quite easily and therefore needs a smaller band than they actually measure.

What cup 32s did you try? I'd suggest trying a 32FF/G.

I tried a 32G and I could fasten the band at the front but it was vice like when fastened. I couldn't fasten it at the back at all, it wasn't even close to being able to be fastened. I know it could have just been that bra though so I returned it and will look for others

Keep trying. Try different brand too. Panache are tighter than Freya or curvy Kate for example. If the bra feels tighter the right way round, go up a cup. My measurements suggest a 30FF/G but I need at least a 30GG.

I just re-measured to be absolutely certain, I'm a smidge under 34 underbust and definitely 40.5 over. I am definitely squishy though.
