Right, I have purchased these in the green tartan

Are you fairly slim?

I would genuinely look like a sofa in them.

My first thoughts were that they were a brave choice Wink

dexter73 · 17/11/2013 10:14

My dd has red tartan trousers. I call her Rupert when she wears them! (BTW I know he wears yellow ones)

Branleuse · 17/11/2013 10:17

hooray. I would love them, but im scared theyll make me look fat

MylesKennedysVocalCords · 17/11/2013 10:26

I have some super skinny red ones from Topshop, think they're the Leigh ones. I love them! I wear them with my wedge spike studded patent creepers Smile

CockPissPartridge · 17/11/2013 10:29

I can't bring myself to embrace the tartan as I still remember it from the last time it was on trend.

IamInvisible · 17/11/2013 10:35

I've got these.

I had a very similar pair last time round too!

dexter73 · 17/11/2013 10:41

My dd has these.

herecomesthsun · 17/11/2013 12:00

I think if you look like you could be in a rock band, they're very cool. Not if you look like you are planning on playing golf (which would be the case I suspect for a lot of Boden's customers). Makes me wonder how much they will be in the sale?

FriendlyElephant · 17/11/2013 12:05

Great if you can pull them off, personally I'd look like a deck chair in them

charitygirl · 17/11/2013 12:05

Love! But then I'm very tartanned-up this season. I've gone for tartan leggings rather than trousers tho, as don't trust myself not to veer 'sloane' in slacks.

NewNameforNewTerm · 17/11/2013 12:07

All I can think of Bay City Rollers ... sorry! (showing my age!)

Possiblyorange · 17/11/2013 13:58

I'm all about tartan leggings too this season. Trousers are just verging on not being ironically cool, iykwim, unless the rest of your outfit and figure is v good.

UsedToBeNDP · 17/11/2013 14:04

I used to have some as a kid/early teen. I loved them. Nowadays they just make me think of golf wear and so are a definite 'no' for me.

GirlWithTheDirtyShirt · 17/11/2013 14:08

The first time I got into a club (at 15) I was wearing red tartan trousers and a white crop top. Both from Topshop. That was 18 years ago and I will not be partaking in the resurgence of this particular trend!

MurderOfGoths · 17/11/2013 14:10

I like them, but got to be worn with a bit of a punky outfit IMO.

MrsBungleScare · 17/11/2013 14:11

I love those - they are not quite the tartan trews that my step dad wore to my wedding! Grin

ggirl · 17/11/2013 14:15

prefer the two others linked to

even the model looks awful in htem

SnookyAnyFuckerPooky · 17/11/2013 14:17

Shangalang, thats all I have to say.

lookatmybutt · 17/11/2013 15:10

I rather like those and think you picked the right colour.

They have been horribly styled in the Boden pics. You could do a lot with them - even something simple like heels, white shirt, black crop/biker jacket or flats, breton top and big black shades.

U B STYIN'

womma · 17/11/2013 16:36

I like them. Agree that you need to be slim to look good in them though.

PrimalLass · 17/11/2013 17:11

I'd wear the grey check but not the green ones.

MissMiniTheMinx · 17/11/2013 17:17

I love them, but they appear to have fallen out with her shoes. Why is it fashionable to wear trousers several inches too short, it makes everyone's legs look stumpy. The colour is good, I'd wear them with ankle boots, black t-shirt and biker jacket.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/11/2013 17:31

Sorry, but I think they are awful. They look like something from the M&S Classic Collection.

cardoon · 17/11/2013 22:36

Well I wasn't expecting the love to be unanimous - I think they look very......festive... Grin

The model/styling on the Boden site is indeed very poor they look much better on me Wink

please don't point and laugh if you see me in the street

OP posts:
Bunbaker · 17/11/2013 22:38

Sorry, but I think they are truly awful. At £89 they would have to pay me to wear them.
