Help me find a dress! But... it's not as easy as that!
I can't be too over the top as there is only one other girl i work with in my department and she says she will wear jeans and top....
All the other girls in other departments HR etc always get very dressed up, big hair, lots of makeup, high heels etc etc
I want to look like im going to a party but dont want to look too fancy or too casual. Also, the guys in my department always seem to comment on my dress style, whether they like it or dont like it and also i have caught them checking out my chest :( So.. i also don't want it to be too revealing but do want to look good.
Help, please help! Im size 14, hourglass.
Oh and the party lunch starts at 1 or something so will have to go to work in it at 7.30am!!!

Not sure why it won't convert the entire link Confused

DrHolmes · 16/11/2013 19:42

hollow i tried the code in topshop search but didn't recognise it.

skinny - Sometimes I love this body shape but then I see these tiny models with clothes that just look amazing and then I'm sad. We always want what we can't get!

I am 5'7. I have nice legs knee down but then they get a bit chunkier knee upwards so i think my legs would be too chunky for that welsh :( It is nice.

Actually you can search for it as '10A14E CRM' and then you can see it in other colours.

I find it very flattering.

fatlazymummy · 16/11/2013 19:45

Try Tesco 'partywear' , loads of nice dresses under £50.

I have this in black and it is very flattering and the fabric does not cling too much. For the price you can treat yourself to some VERY nice shoes Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/11/2013 19:45

Sorry - only just noticed the budget.

welshnat · 16/11/2013 19:46

They have a few different colours actually and style neckline.

tethersend · 16/11/2013 19:47

red

Love the back on this one, and will be casual enough with a blazer/cardigan.

Bogeyface · 16/11/2013 19:48

I think you need something with a V neck if you are well stacked! Anything with high neckline is out. I learned this to my cost many years ago!

welshnat · 16/11/2013 19:49

Even nicer in the blue:

www.ladyvlondon.com/
This site has some great vintage/50s style dresses on it if that is your style. And they have a sale on at the moment. Would be very flattering on a size 14 figure and not too revealing

DrHolmes · 16/11/2013 20:01

i like this meganorks (love then ame)

bargain

tethersend · 16/11/2013 20:09

Not keen on either of those, TBH.

DrHolmes · 16/11/2013 20:11

Hate the belt! Otherwise, nice!

OP posts:
hollowhallows · 16/11/2013 20:13

It is really hard to find clothes as a 14 hourglass with large norks. I always find i have to compromise somewhere.

tethersend · 16/11/2013 20:14

Yeah, not sure you could change the belt. Will keep looking.
