Merrell Isadora down coat?

I am tempted by the Merrell Isadora down coat. It looks nice, long, warm, shapely etc. It also doesn't have fur round the face like the North Face arctic parka - I've never had a fur-round-the-face coat and I'm not sure I'd like it.

The Isadora comes in either black or peppercorn - I can't really tell what colour peppercorn is, tbh.

I have been going round the houses with this for ages and am determined to get a warm coat before the proper winter sets in.

bump - sorry if there are a lot of coat questions at the moment but I haven't seen this one reviewed, and it is a bit cheaper than the NF Arctic Parka!

It's lovely! I bought a new coat yesterday but if I'd spotted this one first I'd have been very tempted! I love the teal coloured Merrell one too!

Okay, that is one positive....I'm definitely leaning towards it still. It looks flattering, doesn't it? Nice shape. And hopefully bloody warm!

It does look flattering-that's got to be a good thing for a padded coat! Grin

Okay, I've just realised it isn't fully waterproof. Most of the time that won't be a problem, just getting to school and back and the odd walk (which we won't do while it is chucking it down, let's be honest) but what about in the snow? Is this why people spring for the Arctic Parka?
