Hi, I am after some waterproof boots for the school run after my feet getting drenched! I want them to be stylish as we walk straight to playgroup some days and I don't want to goto playgroup in my wellies! I have just tried the Merrell Prevox from Amazon. They are very comfy but I don't like them. Any suggestions? I am looking at the Timberland Apley (look stylish not sure about suitability in snow if we get a lot this year!), Merrell Autumn Haven (mm might look too like wellies tho!), and the Rockport Aliana in red. I have no idea how to link I am so sorry but these are all on Amazon as I don't really seem to shop many other ways!!

I have these www.clarks.co.uk/p/20355403

Waterproof and comfy - maybe not for hiking but I walk a lot round london in these

You could normal boots and then waterproof them!

LalaDipsey · 14/11/2013 13:46

They're gorgeous. I also like the shorter ones they do which have a better sole for snow but they're out of my size :( it looks like the grip wouldn't be any good on your in the snow? The other knee high ones they do which have a good sole aren't as nice..

TripTrap - how? I have sprayed boots with 'waterproof' spray but they just leak!

No I don't think I'd wear them in the snow, if it's really icy and I have to walk I forget style and wear walking boots. I fancy some merrell taigas for that but can't really justify more £££ on boots - I have bought 4 pairs already this autumn

I m reading up on it at the mo to waterproof my leather knee highs It seems creams and waxes are the best way to go.

I have Dubarrys. Very spendy, though, but fabulous.

My husband swears by his Toggi boots.

Jimjam you're a bad influence - am now contemplating not sending the Merrells back as they are v comfy and keeping them as a snow boot and ordering the Clarks ones too.... Would then be my 4th pair this winter....

Hi, I went and tried the Clarks boots on, loved them. £130. Left them, came home and ordered from Amazon for £91! Still expensive but much less £ :)

Aquatalia at Russell & Bromley, they're not cheap but they will last for 20 years.
