Clutch help please

Need a decent clutch bag, that is timeless, classic, happy to invest a decent amount of money in the right one, will need to last years. Which brands should I be looking at and what colours?

I love the YSL Belle Du Jour clutch or the YSL Chyc. I have the black patent Belle Du Jour and it is truly a thing of beauty! Very classic in my opinion, although I know some people don't like anything that has evidence of the designer on the outside so I guess it depends on how you feel about this...

I do like the Chyc - and I am particularly drawn to the bright colours - but I'm not sure how timeless bright colours, are I would probably have to go for black . Thanks for replying.
