Mulberry Scarf - advice please

Hi all - hoping you can help. I was given a Mulberry cotton scarf for my birthday, so far, so fabulous. However, it says 'dry clean only'. Have any of you machine or hand washed one before or is DC an absolute must?

I have a silk / cotton Mulberry scarf and I just bung it in on a handwash cycle like I do with all my naice scarves. Use Woolite, it'll be fine. It'll probably need ironing though.
