How much do you spend on clothes?

Per month (or whatever)? Do you consider it a lot? How about DC's clothes? I'm trying to work out whether I'm tight!

Totally depends, anything from £0, £25 to £100 on myself depending on what I need.

This month I have bought pyjamas for £10 but last month I needed a coat and some shoes so spent much more.

For the DC I tend to spend about £60 when we get to the point that they don't fit anything anymore or the season changes and they have nothing suitable, so only a few times a year.

Very similar to above - recently bought myself a few staple things like boots and some jumpers so probably nearer £100 this month but usually not that much.

The kids shoes are my biggest expense - feel like weeping when they both need new shoes Shock otherwise they tend to survive on what they get for Christmas and the odd sale/supermarket item!!

YY to kids shoes! Last month they both needed shoes, they only ones they still fitted were their lightweight summer pumps. Went shopping and bought them both a pair of baseball style pumps and winter boots - expensive trip!

Probably around £150 per month on myself. I buy nice quality highstreet - Boden, French Connection, Gap, M&S, Hobbs NW3, Clarks, Dune etc...
My justifications: I like my clothes, I work full time, I have no debts, I don't drink, smoke or pay a gym membership.
I have 2DC and would say expenditure on them averages £70 per month including shoes and school uniform.

Well last month I spent £16 on clothes and £12 on shoes for myself, but this month I'll probably spend more as I'm going shopping with my partner this week.

Too much!

I spend up to £50 a month on myself. I hunt out bargains to make my money go further.

I probably average £20 a month on the children, but my Mum buys a lot of their clothes, so they dont need much. I also get clothes in the sales, buying a season ahead.

Too bl**dy much. I've recently cut down after realising that I probably have more clothes and shoes than I can ever wear, and an outfit for every occasion, and that buying new tops all the time just because I like them is a waste!

I do tend to buy more expensive stuff, because it hangs better. In a non-cutting down month I was averaging £500 (yes, I know. Barmy).

I save £100 a month for myself to spend on whatever I like (essentials normally come from salary as and when I need things though). I don't buy clothes/shoes every month so it does build up quite quickly. I try to buy classic, good quality items from the higher end high street shops (in the sales where possible so it goes further), nothing too trendy or that will date quickly.

Thinking about it, I spend quite a lot more on my work wardrobe than my casual wardrobe.

Oh no not one of these how much do you spend threads... :)

seriously, it doesn't matter what anyone else spends. It's what you can afford within your budget.

I have no idea what I spend because I don't buy clothes every month anyway. I tend to buy at the start of each 'season' ie spring and autumn, and add small items as I go. I'm fortunate in that I work and we have a joint account that's pretty much always in the black, so I can buy most of what I need, within reason, without having to add it all up.

This month I've bought a jacket and another pair of boots which in total were about £250 but some months I spend nothing.
