How do you accessorise?

I bought a few key items for work today from Next following my 'I have no clothes thread'.

A pair of brown trousers, red cardigan, camel cardigan and a dark brown lightweight jumper. All the tops finish at waist length so look nice with the trousers and smart enough for work.

It all looks a bit plain though and I think I need to accessorise but I am not good at this sort of thing. I rarely wear jewellery so I thought it might look odd if I suddenly start wearing really obvious necklaces etc. If I do wear any I prefer small, subtle things.
I do like scarves but I couldn't see any in Next that would go with what I bought.

Any advice would be appreciated for ideas how to accessorise these outfits and just in general. Thanks

Amazon have a vast array of scarves to. Having never worn them as an accessory before, I fear I am becoming addicted to them now!

I am a scarf addict and buy most of mine from Primark. They always have loads of different prints/colours and don't cost too much (£4-£6), so I've bought quite a few and have built up a bit of a collection now.

I like quite subtle jewellery, but have bought this recently which I really like, but it is quite different to my normal choice of necklace.
