What do you think?

Cloggs and lacey socks for an adult woman - words fail me.

Pointeshoes · 08/11/2013 12:10

Eugh!

tickingboxes · 08/11/2013 12:13

What the hell?

MrsCakesPremonition · 08/11/2013 12:13

Or with ballet pumps and mum jeans.

Obviously a versatile hosiery choice.

omg! awful. I saw a blog with a woman wearing converse and frilly socks with a leather mini, not a good look for anyone, least of all a grown woman. A 7 year old maybe!

squoosh · 08/11/2013 12:34

'Like to golf? Put a pair of white lace socks on the next time you golf to accent those boring golf shoes.'

Grin
MrsCakesPremonition · 08/11/2013 12:38

I didn't get as far as the golf bit. I assumed that women wore then to match their preschool DDs.

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 08/11/2013 12:54

the pointy bits would trail on the ground and get dirty

MrsCakesPremonition · 08/11/2013 13:11

Tiger - since when was S&B hinder by practicality? Grin

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 08/11/2013 13:15

True

So you going to buy a pair then? Only ELEVEN POUNDS and whatever pence a pair.

Go on go on go on go on

Grin
JuneauWhoIAm · 08/11/2013 13:17

MrsCakes,
Were you searching for lace topped stockings to find those beauties or what
:)

DreamlessSleep · 08/11/2013 13:19

Eurgh. They look so wrong.

MrsCakesPremonition · 08/11/2013 14:24

Juneau - it was innocent, honestly.
I was looking for some boot socks for DD (definitely no lace) when Google Shopping suggested I might like them.

OP posts:
MrsCakesPremonition · 08/11/2013 14:25

Tiger - tempting though it is to be a trendsetter (perhaps they could become the new way of spotting MNers in the school playground), I think I can resist. Grin.

Deathwatchbeetle · 09/11/2013 18:16

They look bloody stupid. I can imagine a grown woman skipping about in them -to the embarrassment of her kids and the smirks of the school gate mafia!!!

ThePorpoiseOfStupidity · 09/11/2013 19:47

Those socks are the work of the devil. Who knew Doily cloths were so versatile Grin.

JuneauWhoIAm · 09/11/2013 21:56

Actually, I just clicked with who would wear these.
That Duggar mum. The one with all the children.
Michelle Duggar is it?

higgle · 10/11/2013 12:16

Some of the long socks were nice - I've just ordered two bracelet watches and a black scarf!

PigsInParis · 10/11/2013 12:19

They are fugly. Truly hideous. But surely no self respecting grown woman would wear these. Only children can get away with frilly socks.

princessalbert · 10/11/2013 12:45

WTAF?????

Birdsgottafly · 10/11/2013 12:48

My DD (16) would buy them and dye them black, so would some of her friends, they follow Victoriana Goth style, though.

Other than that, they are for children.

GobblersAnyKnobFucker · 10/11/2013 13:40

But my friend (who is 20) would love them, and probably look amazing in them too.

JuneauWhoIAm · 10/11/2013 14:21

Birds, you can buy black ones too if you look there.

Christmas stocking (pun!) filler?!

TSSDNCOP · 10/11/2013 16:20

It's a thing, saw two twenty something's wearing them at the airport this weekend. They had Converse hi tops and lace topped socks poking above.

MrsCakesPremonition · 10/11/2013 16:22

I can sort of imagine someone wearing them in a sort of steampunk way with higher boots.

I am very glad not to be 20 something.

OP posts:
MollyBerry · 10/11/2013 16:52

I actually saw someone wearing this the other day - they were 20s but doesn't make it alright.

It's only ok on the 5 and unders...
