Depends on your budget. I love j brand 811. Perfect skinny jean for me. Mid rise, good colours, don't stretch and flattering. You can always find bargains in the sales and also on eBay.

I was thinking around the £50 mark and being able to try in store

Anyone know what the Gap always skinny ones are like?

H&m £9.99 and are amazing :)

Just don't wash with anything that isn't dark or you will have blue washing like me :) clever one

houseisfallingdown · 07/11/2013 23:05

Gap always skinny in normal denim are brilliant- have had lots of flattering comments. Not so good in the very dark blue. Not sure why. 30% off at the moment...Grin

New Look high waisted skinnies, lovely quality denim (no bagging round the knees even on the third day of wear) and good value. Size down though as they come up very large.

FadBook · 08/11/2013 06:04

Got some lovely ones from Oasis. Quite thin jean material but really comfy. £40

schmalex · 08/11/2013 06:05

I like Uniqlo super stretch. Think they're about £30?

Reese123 · 08/11/2013 07:28

I second Uniqlo, plus they do free alterations.

MadameLeMean · 08/11/2013 07:38

Don't bother with gap it's false economy- they stretch out after a couple of wears and no amount of washing will restore the shape!

Except if you get the ones that have ZERO stretch in the material (not sure they make those anymore!)

Best jeans I have are French connection, replay and jack wills

Tillyscoutsmum · 08/11/2013 07:48

I really like the Next lift & shape skinnies. The colours in store are a bit crap at the moment though. You could try for size and then order different colour online.

I also like the New Look skinnies - they're quite thin fabric so might be better avoided in mid winter - but they're only 20 quid and they old their shape pretty well.

Size down on both of them

wrigglebum · 08/11/2013 12:25

Agree about the Next skinnies too, but size down at least one size, maybe two. I'd say I'm normally 10-12 but my Next size 10s are so big I reckon I might even be able to squeeze into a 6 on a good day!

eurochick · 08/11/2013 12:29

Fadbook I agree on the Oasis ones - I love my Cherries! The only thing I find is that the colour fades quite quickly, but that would be less of a concern with blue denim (I have them in other colours).

Jacksterbear · 08/11/2013 14:00

Another vote for Oasis cherries.

foxysocks · 08/11/2013 14:15

was also going to say j brand 811, or goldsign vituals

ShreddedHoops · 08/11/2013 14:32

Oasis Cherry or J Brand 811 - size down for both.

Mosschops30 · 08/11/2013 15:36

Will definately take a look in oasis then and next

I just bought topshop Joni skinnies. They are AMAZING and so good I bought 2 difficernwt washes and now eyeing up a third pair in black!

Mosschops30 · 09/11/2013 20:25

I bought the oasis cherry body sculpt ones. Couldn't even get the size down past my thighs so I went for normal size

Wish I'd read this before I bought some Gap Always Skinny. I've only worn them for 2 hours and already they're going baggy! I've taken the labels off but am wondering whether to return them on the basis that really they shouldn't stretch this much after such a short time. They looked gorgeous when I tried them on and for the first hour!

Jalexis · 09/11/2013 23:09

I rate Cos, Oasis, and Gap. Cos hold shape best, nice and long in the leg, just the right amount of stretch with a nice high-ish waist. Think they are about £60.

Currently 38 weeks pg, can't wait to wear my skinnies again! Enjoy!

ColouringInQueen · 09/11/2013 23:16

A new look skinnies fan here. Great fit for pearshaped, and hold their shape v well.

MotherBluestocking · 09/11/2013 23:33

This is a very very boring thing to say, but you really have to try them on as everyone is different. If you're in London, Selfridges stocks everything from Primark upwards so is a good place to try. MadameLeMean is absolutely right about Gap denim, alas.

MadameLeBean · 10/11/2013 09:41

If you must buy gap jeans, get them 1 or 2 sizes too small and don't expect them to last. Or buy the ones with no stretch in.

cece · 10/11/2013 09:44

I bought some good ones from Sainsburys - body sculpt or something like that. I am apple shaped and have trouble finding jeans to fit me.
