Black leggings

You clever ladies helped me find short stretchy long sleeved tops so now Im after ideas for good quality thickish super stretchy full length black leggings.
Had some from next and M and S which have lasted 2 winters but now the stretch seems to have over stretched and gone baggy. Those 2 shops dont seem to have anything as good a quality anymore. Ive seen sainsburys ones reviewed favourably but they are not on the website anymore.
Any good ones you have found this winter? Im size 14 5'2 and old! So no wet look ones or anything shiny!

Ps I love leggings and dont think you can ever be too old to wear them as long as you wear them with a long top which covers bottom and hips. Ive just persuaded my 62 year old friend to buy a pair and she looks fab in them with a long top and biker boots. She always wears a scarf and matching jewellery and has had lots of compliments about her leggings.

Matalan or Sainsburys

I find H&M ones ok - I've bought a panelled pair from there this year which are pleather! Quite nice and I get Los of compliments on them. I wear with a long tee shirt dress and chiffon long blouse over the top.

But my fave pair are actually Next as you've mentioned as they have a nice thick waist band that doesn't roll or sag.

I think two years use out of high street leggings is pretty good going in terms of cost per wear actually, and I wouldn't expect much more from Lycra.

You could try Primark?

I got some from M&co which lasted pretty well and didn't bag.

I was about to say sainsburys, they last really well and stay new looking.

Sainsburys luxury leggings. Boden if they still do them. Next.

kaizen · 07/11/2013 13:29

i found Boden ones really good - bit pricier but seem to have lasted well

No jeans on the planet seem to fit me properly so it's black leggings all the way here.

Big fan of New Look leggings. DD is the same size as me now and we share about 10 pairs between us!

Monsoon secret control leggings. They have a control panel which magically flattens your tummy. They also look nice, stay up and are fairly substantial material.

Mint velvet leggings are very good.
