OCM newbie

I've been experimenting with the OCM on my oily skin but am a bit confused as some websites say the starting mix should be 1 third castor oil to 2 thirds other oil, e.g. sunflower or jojoba and other websites say the opposite, so 2 thirds castor and 1 third the other oil. Does anyone have any advice?

Also if you are using this method should you stop all other types of cleansing and moisturising to get the full effect?

Am hoping there are some OCM experts out there who can help!

I'd go with the former, rather than the latter (you don't need to measure...just eyeball it in your palm). Castor oil is the 'cleaning' oil...it will clean your skin and loosen clogs. It is quite astringent and can be drying...a little goes a long way because it's also quite difficult to remove. Jojoba oil is an excellent choice for oily skin. It's balancing and soothing and rich and absolutely will not clog pores (seriously...I put it on my face before jogging in cold weather). I use just jojoba oil (to loosen makeup) before a foamy cleanser at night and then put on more jojoba oil before my night cream. In the morning I just splash with warm water.

Thanks for the advice! Much appreciated as I am breaking out slightly at the moment and want to be sure I'm at least doing it right!
