Botox / Filler Combo - advice please

Hi

I have a scar that has turned into a wrinkle right in between my eyebrows. It's much worse than all my other wrinkles and looks noticeable.

A few years ago I had botox a couple of times which worked a treat, ironed it out completely. Last time I tried botox only they recommended I also have a filler at the same time. The botox alone didn't get rid of it anymore.

The clinic's rationale was that the filler would fill the indentation of the scar and the botox would keep it in place, otherwise I'd just frown away the filler into nothing in a few weeks.

Has anyone ever tried a filler/botox combination for this sort of thing, and if so how long did it last?

Thanks in advance ladies

I have a combo of filler and botox for 'smokers lines' (not actually from smoking, I just have a very pouty muth that has given me wrinkles!) including three small scars (from bad spots in my youth) along my lip line. Doesnt completely get rid if them (I could go for more filler to completely eradicate, but danger of a trout pout effect!), but it eases them a lot and gives me a fresher look.

Filler lasts longer than botox (typically 6-12 months) so worth asking the practitioner to go gently and top up if needed.

Actually quick q Robin - if filler lasts longer than botox, do you have a cycle of botox & filler then just botox next time, then botox and filler the following time? Thanks x

Cluck and collect would be a great invention!

Hiya - yes I have Botox roughly every 3-4 months, filler once or twice a year.
