I' d like some warm , waterproof and cool snow boots for winter and can't seem to find any that are knee high. They don't have to be actual snow boots just suitable for that sort of weather and warm.

Clarke's had some last year called walk to hi gtx which i wish I had bought ....most of the ones I see now are ankle high and awful...look like they came from the back pages the sunday magazines.

Advice welcomed, thanks

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B003EYVRJ2

These have seen me through three Scottish winters and have plenty life left in them. They're not quite knee high but are toasty warm.

If you're looking for non snow boot looking snow boots then I can recommend these

I love Sorel boots, I can recommend Joan of arctics too.

TinyDiamond · 04/11/2013 23:35

What size are you. I just got some from field and trek t'other day that were only £25 reduced as they were actually in the kids section. They are karrimor but no big logos, mine are graphite grey with a bit of pink and fur lined but think there's other colours. Knee high too. I think they had up to about a size 6, sorry can't check for you right now though.

I have Timberland. They are very warm, waterproof and grippy. Completely synthetic though so a tad sweaty if the forecast is wrong

MakingAnotherList · 05/11/2013 14:20

I was looking at the Timberland ones yesterday. Only £56 on Amazon.

busyboysmum · 05/11/2013 14:26

I have those Timberland boots, they've done me proud the last few winters. £56 is a bargain.

Madmog · 05/11/2013 14:36

I got some from Next online a couple of years ago and I know they were doing similar last year. Mine are lovely and warm and certainly keep the cold and wet out. Obviously used them in snow and a couple of muddy walks in the woods.

woozlebear · 05/11/2013 15:12

I immediately thought Sorel joan of arctics, too. Way more insulated than necessary in the UK, but waterproof, comfy, hardwearing, and nice looking.

sorry for such late response, great suggestions and have bought some in the field and trek sale - thanks tiny diamond !!
