I want a warm nightdress that isn't frumpy...

I wear nightdresses rather than pyjamas, partly because my smallest Dd likes to snuggle in with me at night and warms her feet on my legs, she hates it if I have pjs on! Anyway, I am a chilly mortal, and tend to potter about in the morning in my nightie, so I like them to be long, and have sleeves at least to the elbow. I can only find frumpy, or super expensive. I would like to not look like my 82 year old Mum, and I also think £85 for a nightie is a bit steep. White Company have nice ones but all above the knee, ditto M+S, if they are long then they tend to be strappy, and its the shoulder bit of me that gets chilly! Anyone seen anything?

I've just bought a long sleeved, scoop necked black and beige very long tshirt dress/nighty in the half price sale from Sainsbury.
I think it's a nighty - it was with all the pyjamas. I tried an18 and a 24. Bought the 18. I'm usually a 14 but wanted some room and length in it. I'm 5'9" and it is near the bottom of my calf muscle. £9 bargain.

I bought the polarn one a few days ago! Annoyingly just before the 20% off..grr..But I was about to post it for anyone else looking as it is fab. It is really soft cotton, nice long arms, and a great length, a few inches above the ankle on me in the S size, and I'm 5'8". Warm and not at all frumpy, I love it. Will be good on the beach in the Summer when it gets chilly to throw on over a swimsuit too. Whitecat I like the sound of that one but I am nowhere near a Sainsburys, I live in the back of beyond. I wonder if they do online stuff like Tesco? I've never looked. I'm also going to buy the silk one suggested and the gudrun sjoden I think.

I'm with you on this. Still on the lookout for a warm, soft nightie with long sleeves and practically ankle length. Refuse to buy old lady designs.

I checked the Sainsbury website and couldn't find it. For a stripey jersey material it is actually very flattering so I'm chuffed with it.
