Has anyone ever altered their UGGs

My dh very kindly bought me a pair of UGGs that I had been coveting, however they are the wrong length, I wanted the low ones and he has got me the mid ones. I can't return them, as my dd has worn them outside (ahhh) I was wondering could I get them altered and has anyone done this sucessfully?

These now offer a postal service and their prices look very reasonable.

I can't see why you can't get them shortened.
