Is this the one everyone is raving about or is there another Babyliss Pro Curl?

Oh I want one so bad.
Totallylost I have the Big Hair too, I don't rate it much either.

HappyGirlNow · 03/11/2013 11:57

I have the pro perfect curl and it's AMAZING! Quick to use and easy and long lasting gorgeous curls.. Not sure what the difference is to this one..

CookieLady · 03/11/2013 11:58

Would it be pointless on short chin length hair?

CookieLady · 03/11/2013 11:58

Would I look ridiculous?

Birdies · 03/11/2013 12:01

What's the difference between the curl secret and the pro curl? I want to ask for one for Christmas but other than the price I can't see a difference!

SorrelForbes · 03/11/2013 12:02

Nope, the curl secret is different from the Pro Curl. The latter is designed for professional, salon use really. I have one and it's amazing. I've heard that the Secret isn't anywhere as good, especially on shorter hair.

totallylost · 03/11/2013 12:17

Sad that's what I feared Sorrel. Thought it was too good to be true I could get it for free.

I had a Google and found this:

The key differences between the 2 are:
The trade version has the option to turn the 3 pre-set timers off whilst the retail one doesn't.
Trade has 3 temperature settings whilst retail has 2.
Trade has 3 curl direction settings; right, left and automatic alternate curl. Retail has a fixed alternate curl setting.
Trade has 3 heaters, retail has 2 heaters.
Trade has 2.8m swivel cord and retail has 2.5m swivel cord.

So, it doesn't look like there are too many differences tbh.

Ceramic curl chamber for smooth curl creation
3 timer settings with audio beep indicator for different curl effects
3 heat settings; 190°C, 210°C and 230°C for long lasting results
Powerful heating system ready to use in seconds with ultra–fastheat recovery
Curl direction control for either a uniform or natural finish (Right/Left/Auto)
Suitable for shorter and long er hair lengths
On/off switch with on indicator light
Heat ready indicator
Auto shut off
Salon length swivel cord
6 month guarantee
Weight: 0.96kg

This is the detail from the Tesco one which says 3 heat settings which is what I think will make most difference to curl holding.

Might just risk it..........maybe.

I don't know whether I'd be wasting money as my hair is chin length. Confused

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 06/11/2013 11:44

I got one (such a sheep) and I have just past chin length hair. mine is the pro curl one and its amazing, it gives a nice curl but cos my hair is shorter I am not sure I like it curly, Sad easy to use though

totallylost · 09/11/2013 14:15

Bought it!

Seems good so far, very easy and has lasted a few hours so far.
