Quick pre-shopping for question for Autumns

I desperately need a pair of work trousers. Very small budget but if I can only get one pair, what would be the most versatile colour do you think? I am 5'3" pear shape so find getting trousers difficult enough!

Navy. I wear mine loads and they work with lots of colours, plus easier to find than brown.

I'd go for navy too, unless you can find french navy it's not strictly autumn but it works with most autumn shades.

I wear either navy or nude shoes mainly, but depending on top half I sometimes wear red, mustard, light or mid brown.
