Emigrating... How many of everything? Capsule wardrobe?

I'm moving to the Middle East. 5 bags have already gone to the charity shop and I still have too much stuff. Has anyone ever managed to create a capsule wardrobe?

How many..
Pants
Socks
Bras
Vests
Jeans
Trousers
Shorts
Tops/shirts
Cardigans
Jammies
Shoes?
What have I forgotten?

Bump bump but I have got some good ideas from other similar threads tonight.

Skirts
Dresses
Swimwear?

Oh yeah... Have whittled it down to 5 going out dresses, only 3 day dresses. Which considering I have a baby is probably the wrong way round.

I've only been to Qatar and Dubai but the shops there are just the same as here - Zara, Next, Debenhams, etc.
