Boots v Superdrug

My local Boots branch where I work (Wimbledon) has finally got rid of it's 2 Advantage Card Machines. I asked where they were and they have just gone, no plans to replace them.

This may not mean much to you but if I wanted extra offers/coupons etc I'd see what was there and then get them.

My other Boots is on my way home (Clapham Junction) but is not one I'd go to generally as a short walk from station.

I get Soap and Glory face wash from Boots and shampoo but generally nothing else. Should I try Superdrug and forget about the Boots points?

Superdrug do points now too. I don't think you get as many per pound as boots though.

Superdrugs own brand is BUAV approved so that swings it for me.

Superdrug do indeed do points now. Not as many to the pound, and not as many coupons/extra offers, but it may help soften the blow Grin

another advantage to superdrug is that you can use your collected points as part payment unlike boots who wouldn't do part point part cash payments

I have started using Superdrug a lot more recently. My local one has been done up and is much nicer now.
I love the Naturally Radiant range and the MUA make up.
And I like that you can use your points to get money off.
I do still use Boots too as there are some No 7 products that I like.

I think you should definitely try Superdrug. I used to be advantage card obsessed! But Boots is so expensive and you end up spending so much money to get the points. Superdrug is alot cheaper I think. They always have loads of special offers on. Their own brand skincare ranges are really good too, the Vitamin E one and the Pure one.

I very begrudgingly spend money in Boots now when I have no other choice.

I spent ages writing a post, switched to another tab and it disappeared, but it was all the points sunny has mentioned almost word for word!

If you chop and change shampoos etc. there will always be something on offer to try. I seem to build up plenty of points and they will knock it off for you when it builds up a bit (better than Boots I find as you have to have enough points to pay outright there).

Also agree with fluffy regarding the BUAV approval - I think it's fab for a high street brand.
