Hair dryers

My old faithful hairdryer has finally broken. Any recommendations for a new one?

I'd like a light weight one with 3 heat settings and 3 speed settings and a cool blast button, any thoughts?

TIA

Not quite what you're after but has cool blast buttons read reviews:-

I prefer Babyliss dryers and have used this or similar - it says lightweight and it has 2 speed and 2 temperature settings and also a cool shot.

If you do buy it don't get it through Boots as they charge approx £25 and Argos £19.99 but I got extra Boots points today

I just bought a Tresemme one from Boots. Three speeds/temps and a cool button, and I am amazed at how light it is compared with my old one!

I have been hankering after a Parlux but really can't justify £85 on hairdryer!

Just bought one by Andrew Barton. £34.99 at Argos. It's really excellent, purple and has a few diamonds on the side.

I just had this one for christmas and its fab - way better than my parlux. Although to be fair that was about 9 years old.

Beaverfeaver · 27/12/2013 07:34

mrscampbellblack I have heard good things about those but they have been unavailable in the uk for a while.

Are you in Italy?

MrsCampbellBlack · 27/12/2013 07:40

No, I used it at a hotel in london and mentioned to DH how good it was and he ordered it from amazon I think.

rubybleu · 27/12/2013 07:49

Parlux absolutely. Mine has been going since 2003! It's the now-equivalent of the 3200 ceramic ionic.

OatcakeCravings · 27/12/2013 07:55

I have a Parlux and its heavy. I don't find it any better than the Babyliss one I had previously TBH. But maybe I've just forgotten as I seem to think I really liked it at first!

Willabywallaby · 04/01/2014 14:24

I'm still looking? Now interested in the weight, but swaying towards a parlux in red! Most sites don't put the weight.

I have recently gone back to my cracked remington, the old one found in the loft is rubbish in comparison.
