Am I making a £300 mistake?

Has anyone tried this? Will it really work? Does it hurt? Am I wasting my hard earned money?

The Philips lumea is the one I have. I found it completely useless, lent it to a friend who found it useless too. I could have put that money towards a nice handbag

A good epilator is about £200 cheaper, that leaves you £200 to have professional hair removal anywhere that you wouldn't want to use the epilator.

I've seen them posted on a few beauty blogs but couldn't help think that their testimonies felt a bit 'flat' and I didn't entirely trust them.
