Celtic sheepskin - problems with size

Have just purchased aqualambs tall ones. I had ordered a 6 (my normal size) but definitely too big so exchanged for 5. They fit really well - but I still have some heel slip. Size down would definitely be way too small - is this normal until they 'wear' in? Do I try alternative make/style? Aghh - the boot saga of my life continues!!

My friend always wears them. She says size down & no need for socks. (We were talking about them the other day - I couldn't decide whether to get some).

Yeah I've just bought a pair of celtic wedge boots and they're huge. But there were only 8s in that style left in the sale (I guess cos women don't generally have size 9 feet) I'm just gonna put sheep insoles in them and wear thick socks. No hardship in winter.
