Hydraluron Moisture Booster

OK, so I have bought this today. I have read all the reviews and am hoping for great things. After cleansing and applying Hydralauron and moisturising with my usual moisturiser, my skin feels odd, almost dry and a bit tight,

Is this short-term? Will it improve over time? I was expecting lovely supple skin...Hope I haven't just wasted £25.

No that's what it does. It helps your moisturiser soak in. It makes my skin feel tight too and I'm on tube three.

UsedToBeNDP · 30/10/2013 20:34

I don't like it, it makes me break out. To be fair, most things do, I have very fussy, spot prone skin which flares up with new products it doesn't like.

QuizTeamAguilera · 30/10/2013 20:38

My face isn't fussy at all to be honest. I guess it's just not the feeling I was expecting. As long as it's likely to have a positive result, I'll persevere with it.

Littleredsquirrel is your skin looking better for it?

Have to stay I stuck with it but won't be buying tube four. I don't think the difference is worth the cost and the tube doesn't last long enough.

FreeButtonBee · 30/10/2013 21:08

I like it a lot. I use a pea sized blob over the lower half of my face and credit it with the fact that people say "you look well," in surprise despite still being up at least 5 times a night with my 8mo twins! It has plumped out the lines either side of my mouth which were starting to look a bit obvious. It's not revolutionary but I do rebuy it - but normally when on 3 for 2. I get the Peptabright as well which is good for forehead and cheeks to correct sun damage.

I'm so glad you started this thread OP - I bought mine on Tuesday and am experiencing the same tightness Confused

I expected dewy and got dry and tight my-face-seems-one-size-too-small instead!

If it means I have to apply my moisturiser twice ((Elemis) it's going to be £££££££!

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/10/2013 08:25

I get the tight thing too - tis odd.

QuizTeamAguilera · 31/10/2013 13:53

OK, next day update. I used it last night and again this morning (in for a penny) and I have to say, I actually look better! I honestly do. Perhaps it has a cumulative effect. I also bought Botanics BB cream in med shade and I think that's contributing to my looking pretty darn healthy today.

It doesn't feel tight to me, but that's probably because I use moisturiser on top.
Having said that, I'm on my second tube. Only bought it because it was a fiver or something off in Boots.
Was seriously considering going back to Moisture Surge.
So, yes, firmly on the fence.

QuizTeamAguilera · 31/10/2013 14:00

Oh I did use my usual moisturiser on topcoffeeinbed
Today I'm off the fence and firmly in the Hydralauron camp.

That's good.
It's always good to find something that works, right?

Medal · 31/10/2013 16:26

I have just bought it too, and I do get the tightness as well, have to apply a couple of layers of my moisturiser - weird! After using it for 3 days I tentatively can say my skin is looking better, a bit clearer. Hope the effect gets better Smile

baby2mac · 29/11/2013 11:54

Hi there,
I'm new to this so hope i'm doing this all correct.
Just wondering if this cream is safe to be using when your pregnant please and thanks???

My skin is ridiculously dry this winter and i'm trying everything else so wondering can I resort to this???

Thanks

Naicecuppatea · 29/11/2013 20:45

Yes it will be fine if you're pregnant. I have it, seems ok, also getting the tight feeling though!
