How do I stop my makeup sliding off my face please??

My skin has changed recently and is a bit greasier than normal, not a problem I've had for many years! But I figure it's good for the wrinkles (I'm 43).

The problem is my makeup looks fab for a couple of hours, ok for a couple more but then it's vanished.....

Can you recommend anything to help please??

Loose powder? Is your make-up oil-free? Clinique even better' compact plus loose powder is the only thing that doesn't make my combi skin shine after 2 hours.

Make sure your foundation (and your moisturiser if possible too) is oil free. Use blotting powders during the day instead of topping up with loose powder (but set your foundation with loose powder in the morning). I have a very, very oily chin and the blotting powders really help. If I keep on applying loose powder during the day then it just builds up and ends up looking cakey.

Try a primer specifically for oily skin too. Bourjois have a new one out that's supposed to be pretty good. I would always recommend getting a tester though so take a wee pot along to Boots and steal sample some.

Primer will definitely help, and a foundation with serious staying power like EL double wear.

Thank you!

None of my makeup is oil free, as this is quite a recent problem. And I'm far from being a teenager! I'll pop to Boots tomorrow and see what I can find.

prime, oil free & most importantly powder, it sets the makeup.

I've used Double Wear for about ten years but recently it's looked shit on my skin. I got a sample pf Lancome Teint Idole Ultra and it:s beem pretty good.
