I'm looking for a lovely new jumper. Never had a cashmere one because of the hassle of dry cleaning. But I'm ready to give it a go. I want something that I can wear to work and with jeans. I've got a 25% off code for Pure and they look quite nice. Does anyone own any of their jumpers? What are they like in quality and sizing and how easy are they to clean? I'm usually a 10 in tops. TIA

Ooooh yes I've got a couple. Hmmm I'd say the boden cashmere washes a bit better, pure jumpers are ok as long as you don't go for the thinner types, I had a few holes develop in my gassato cardie.

I have a couple of Pure cardigans & a jumper. I get my normal size. Quality of the cashmere is good with the items I have - my experience is that finishing is not as good as Brora so all my Brora items look good as new year after year - Pure & Denner cashmere come next in quality for me, then J Crew & then Boden but I prefer Brora as their colour range always suits my pale skintone best. The other makes are cheaper and I think Pure is good quality & value for the price - particularly if you have a discount. I wash all knitwear in the machine on the cold delicate setting & then shape & dry flat. Keep cashmere in a plastic bag (without holes) as moths are the big enemy - they always go for cashmere rather than any other wool.

I have a cashmere dress and a jumper by Pure and they both still look good after at least three years. I machine wash them on delicate setting.
I also have some Boden cashmere which I like but, personally, I think Pure just has the edge in terms of quality. It's pricey but there's usually a discount code knocking around somewhere. I have heard that Brora quality is brilliant too but then it's way more expensive so it ought to be!

Pure used to be pretty good quality, I have two cardigans that I bought in 2009 which are still in great condition - the 100% cashmere one looks like new despite having been worn probably 500+ times in the last 4 years.

One I bought 2 years ago is like a rag, and I shan't be shopping with them any longer.

Thank you all. I will have a look at the Brora ones too. I was just tempted with the 25% off code but I should look at it as an investment purchase I think Smile

Oh that's a real shame, Alibaba, if the quality has gone downhill. I haven't bought from them for about 3 years so maybe you shouldn't take too much notice of me, Op.

I have 2. 1 bought last year and one this. Both are an excellent very classic shape. I size up (based on their online measurements) but have big boobs so need the extra inch or 2. Quality seems fine but i've not given them years of testing! I would buy from them again certainly. I'm not a big fan of boden cashmere, which wasn't cut so well and the only thing I bought from them didn't wash as well.
