What colour top with this skirt?

I put on a black top which has a white hem stripe at the bottom. It also has a white stripe round the bottom of the sleeves. Dh laughed and said I looked like a badger

I changed outfit, cue dh protesting he hadn't meant it and it looked fine.

Would a plain black top be better? Or is dh just been stupid?

Most colours would work with that- I'd probably go for a beige TBH.

Id go for a plain black t, red belt to break it up.

I'd go for a plain, one colour top, but not necessarily black or white - maybe something bright and bold.

I do quite fancy something like a bright blue or a burnt orange....would that work?

Yes burnt orange or perhaps turquoise or a vivid purple would be good too.

I'd go for a pop of colour... Viva's idea of burnt orange (or rust) would look good.
