I am a mess!

I am breastfeeding ds2. I need new clothes as rather than losing, i am gaining weight!

I am looking for a few key affordable bits to make me look like I actually do care about what I look like.

Used to be an 8 or 10 but am now a struggling 10 so reallya 12.

I've got 50 quid in new look to spend, am going to buy some boots in Clark's ( will try and link) and have 10 voucher for next and jane. Norman!

I have a short waist so anything with a waist belt looks awful- and tops need to be long line.

I did buy two dresses in new look but they look awful (thought if wore with leggings I could pull up to feed).

In New Look I like this top and this cardi, both not frumpy IMO Grin

I've got those boots, they look great on a true classic. I'm on my 2nd year of wearing them and have just bought some neutral polish for them and they look like new. They're super comfy too and not at all frumpy.

SparklyTGD - I have just bought that t-shirt but am going to take it back as the arm holes are weird.

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 29/10/2013 21:46

Ooh,I like that t-shirt.Is it wrong to like the burgundy owl print one? Blush

These boyfriend jackets are much nicer in real life and you would need to size down.

Boden wrap tops are great for breastfeeding btw and there's a 20% code knocking about.

So you could wear a wrap top, boyfriend jacket, scarf, skinnies and your new Clarks boots. Voila!

SparkyTGD · 30/10/2013 09:37

dexter I find it ok, I also think it will look good with a thin long sleeve black top underneath (for a bit of warmth & layering).

TripTrap it depends how old you are? If you are 12... Grin, only joking, but I couldn't get away with it (am 40 plus).

I also like this sweater

PeppaPigStinks · 30/10/2013 09:57

Thank you!! Love all the suggestions and it's stuff I wouldn't usually consider! Off into town now! I think if I get some skinnies and scarfs from primark I will look half decent!

Do I go for the black or brown boots!?Wink

Actually, saying that,if you don't get both ;) I like those black boots with the brown top around atm

PeppaPigStinks · 30/10/2013 10:49

I'm afraid I can only afford one pair... And to get those I've had to sell old clothes!!
