I'm saving to go shopping when dh finds a job, as my wardrobe is full of stuff I hate Hmm

I'm 49, size 12/14, 5 foot 7, apple shape (no waist, smallish bum), have mid to dark brown hair, medium skin and brown eyes.

I have a pair of black trousers and a black knee length skirt for work with a couple of black and white tops and an olive green top and a grey cardi and a brown cardi.

At home I have one pair of straight indigo jeans I like and a dark teal long sleeved top. I also have a black tshirt and brown thin longline cardi I like.

I don't like myself in skinnies. Straight jeans seem to suit me best with longline tops.

I would love to have my colours done and book an appointment with a personal shopper, but I just can't afford to now or in the near future, so grateful for ideas.

You can see a personal shopper for free in loads of shops and dept stores - might get you started and into some things you wouldn't have tried otherwise?

After my maternity leave I went to topshop and had a personal shopper service, before I went back to work. It was great. Is it a chunk of money you're thinking of spending? If so would you consider getting a personal shopper at one of the big stores (John Lewis etc.?)

Travelin, no, that's not me.

I won't have much to spend, but would like to find some boots and/or shoes, some tops and maybe a coat/jacket, maybe some cords.
