Does anyone know what Max Mara sizing us like? Specifically their wool coats. Thanks.

Depends. They have several sub brands ie sport max, max mara weekend and max mara pianoforte.

Weekend and the main brand comes up true to size (medium if you get my drift). Pianoforte comes up really small. I have some of their dresses. The pianoforte ones in a 12 are more like a 10 and the main brand and weekend ones come up like a proper 12.

None of their stuff is enormous though.

If I helps I am a 12 in Jigsaw, lk Bennett, all saints and reiss. I am a 10 in uniqlo and M&S if that helps.

Enjoy your max mara coat Grin. It's one of my favourite brands. Their stuff is built to last, classic cuts and superb materials. Wool, silk , cashmere. No poly rubbish.

I actually disagree with the pp, I find their sizes (incl all the sub brands) are large & you need to go a size down.

Their coats are particularly generous, so you may find you need to go down 2 sizes.

For reference I'm normally an 8 but a 6 in MaxMara, LK Bennett, Boden...

Thank you for getting back to me. I have loved Max Mara from afar for some time, way out of my budget though. However someone on MN suggested Ebay and I have seen a lovely one that I'm very tempted by. It's still going to sell over £100 though. I think it's the main brand, has a slim light grey label with max mara written on it and a small one above it saying 'made in Italy'. Do you know by any chance, are there a lot of fake Max Mara coats out there. Just don't want to buy something if it may be a fake. However it doesn't seem to be a brand that attracts fakes.
