Hiring ball gown?

I have to attend a masked ball. I have no idea how to go about hiring, what cost, where from, etc. - I can get into London.

And ideas?

When is it? If it is after Christmas it may be cheaper to buy one in the sales.

Alas no, it is beginning of December.

I usually look on ebay or charity shops. otherwise do you have any local dress agencies?

Agree with onemore - ebay! I bought this one last year:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Womens-Dresses-Bridesmaid-Evening-Party-Formal-Prom-Dress-Gown-09568-size-8-18-/370821915441?pt=UK_Women_s_Dresses&var=640089881033&hash=item5656b56331

I needed to have alterations done - cost about £15 (I'm a particularly weird shape) Blush but it was lovely.

Teamed it with diamante jewellery, silver heels and a silver handbag......

This company (sorry about the horrid name) is really good for ball gowns. I've bought quite a few from there, they are on the end of a phone if you need any help and usually do next day delivery. The only thing is they are quite small so I usually size up.

How about girlmeetsdress.co.uk?
