Help me find some nice boots!

I am in the market for a pair of boots for winter. Preferably brown leather, doesn't have to be real leather but does have to be sturdy and weather-proof. Low heel but feminine. BUT as cheap as possible! Help?

My 11yo DD tried on some boots in New Look (not leather) they were £30.
Not sure how they'll stand up to winter though.

I waterproof the life out of her Kirkland (Costco) shearling boots for winter.

Oh, and we ordered the New Look online to arrive tomorrow so she can wear them and see how they fare.

I love these with a slight heel or these flats and at £14 for the second pair it seems wrong not to!

They are not leather, but they will be waterproof and they are cheap.
