Recommendations for really good deep conditioning treatment please!

My hair is coloured and after changing my colour recently (and obviously having much more dye/tint on my hair to achieve the colour change), it's in really bad condition. It's dry, easily knotted and fly away Hmm

So. Does anyone have any recommendations for conditioning treatments that give magical results?

Coconut oil.

My hair is in a similar predicament and I am trying out a few things - so far Aussie 3 Minute Miracle has made my hair a bit more manageable and oiling dry hair before shampooing helps as well.

Thank you both. Do you just use the coconut oil after shampooing (and then leave it for 10 mins and wash it out?).

I've tried the Aussie 3 minute stuff. It was ok but not didn't make a massive difference on my hair tbh Hmm Oiling before shampoo might be worth a go though

I find L'Oreal Mythic Oil very versatile - if my hair's feeling particularly dry I massage 3-4 pumps of it into the ends, wrap head in a towel and leave it for an hour or so before shampooing. It takes a couple of vigorous washes to get the usual lather from shampoo, but the result is nice, swishy hair. I also use one tiny pump of it immediately after drying, to smooth anything that needs smoothing. Not dirt cheap, but smells lovely and looks as though the bottle will last for ages.

Tilly I put the coconut oil on dry hair before shampooing for 20 mins or longer if poss, then wash out and use my usual conditioner.

Thanks all Smile

Kpak revitaluxe would be my recommendation

Use a deep conditioning mask. Tresemme keratin and boots almond and coconut are good or any deep treatment mask. Wash hair, apply and leave on for at least 30 minutes before rinsing. Try to do this once a week. Also oiling hair as other posters have said is good, a small amount as a leave makes it very smooth. Loreal extraordinary oil is a cheaper alternative to mythic oil.

Right. Have just ordered various things to try. Hopefully it'll stop me doing my scarecrow impression Wink

Thanks for the recommendations

Lush conditioning treatments are good. Ten quid or so.... I used to lather it on, then hair in a towel for hours while I pissed about round the house.

I have tried tons and still go back to Aussie 3 minute miracle time and time again.

Wella Professional Luxe Hair Oil is really lovely - just discovered that at the hairdressers and it smells amazing.

Start oiling your hair regularly. Leave on over night and wash out in the morning. Coconut oil is one of the only oils (there are a few others) that penetrates the hair shaft. Most oils are simply trapping moisture in by coating the hair shaft.

Have a look at Vatika (it is sold on Amazon). That sorted my hair out when it was fried. I used it a couple of nights a week for a few months and Ta-dah!
