good quality leggings

I wear black leggings a lot. But I always buy cheap ones from Peacocks etc that end up getting faded and baggy. I think it's about time I invested in a decent quality pair that will last well. Which brands do you recommend? I have heard good things about Hush and White Stuff. Are they any good? I don't mind spending a bit extra if I'm going to get my money's worth.

I were Oasis black leggings and rate them. I expect White Stuff ones will be good quality.

The lovely s &b ladies on here recommended the sainsburys £10 leggings. I have a pair and although I don't wear them often, I am pleased with the quality.

alltoomuchrightnow · 25/10/2013 15:17

I have two pairs from Monki that i adore... def getting more from there

alltoomuchrightnow · 25/10/2013 15:18

they are good thick ones.. unlike my Topshop and New Look ones that go thin after a few wears

WhoeverHeardOfAFucker · 25/10/2013 15:23

I've heard good things about the Avon ones, they don't do my size though. I have some gorgeous Joe Browns ones that have lasted me years - they are so soft and comfy!

I like Next leggings Smile

maudpringle · 25/10/2013 15:43

I have a pair of tu leggings, they are fab- only £10

nf1morethanjustlumpsandbumps · 25/10/2013 15:59

Sainsbury's TU £10 leggings are brilliant. Don't buy the twin pack though they are rubbish. I stock up when they have an offer on.

fluffydressinggown · 25/10/2013 16:33

Sainsburys or Matalan

Littleredsquirrel · 25/10/2013 16:35

Do NOT buy the marks and spencer woollen ones under any circumstances. I paid £19.50 for them thinking they'd be nice and warm and within five minutes of wearing them I have saggy knees. I had assumed they'd have some lycra in them. They are awful awful awful

Goandplay · 25/10/2013 16:37

There is 25% off Sainsburys clothes on Tuesday I think.

I bought a pair of leggings from American Apparel last year after a recommendation from another forum and they are the best I have ever owned. I don't usually shop in AP as (a) their target market seems to be teenagers and I am much older than that and (b) I really don't like their advertising. However, wasting money on loads of different types of leggings and being disappointed I gave them a try and they wash well, don't go baggy at the knees, and are a really good dark black colour.

Ladyhaha · 25/10/2013 19:54

I bought some in H&M last week and they're great. Only £7 and really thick.

Jazzicatz · 25/10/2013 20:57

Definitely second American Apparel they have lasted ages, keep their shape and colour, really really good

hallowisitmeyourelookingfor · 25/10/2013 23:14

Yes to H&M, I have bought from all kinds of places but these seem really thick and last for ages.

musicmum75 · 25/10/2013 23:33

Thanks all! Will definitely check out the Tu leggings as I have a big branch if Sainsburys near me. Well look into the others as well.
