Wrong colour foundation!

I went to the Clinique counter in Boots to get a new foundation (Even Better - it's fantastic) but after using it for a couple of weeks (yes, I know, but I've trying to convince myself that it looks ok, seeing as it's not cheap) I've realised that it's making me look a bit orange Confused

If I go back, do you think they'll swap it for one that is actually the same colour as my face or do I just have to suck it up & spend another £50?? (The powder is the wrong colour too) I really thought they'd get it right! I haven't got the receipt anymore either Hmm

Yes, ime they will especially if you were colour matched in the first instance. I have emailed Cinique and complained that I was colour matched incorrectly and they gave me the choice of whether to go back and get a better match or choose something else from their website.

Boots is also very good at returns ime, so that would be my first port of call as you bought it from there. I have taken back shoe insoles that I bought from Boots that I had already cut to my foot shape and they STILL defended. Excellent customer service.

That's brilliant Valium, I was a bit worried they would think I was being cheeky. It is only slightly too dark & looks ok in some lights but as I'm an ageing goth a pale & interesting type it really bothers me! Will get myself to Boots ASAP Smile

Balls. I've just remembered, it wasn't Boots I went to, it was bloody Debenhams! I haven't got a hope, have I?

The clinique foundation I got was from debenhams, you'll be fineSmile

Go back and ask to be rechecked for your foundation colour. I've always found Clinique to be very helpful whether Boots or Debenhams.

Honestly, you won't have any problems and if you do email clinique.

Hurrah for Debenhams/Clinique!

Exchanged no bother at all - well, it was the same lady that I saw last time & she did attempt a bit of guff about me being 'more tanned' last time (really?) but she still changed & it & was perfectly nice about it. Love it when service is better than expected, I may have to write an email! Smile

Hurrah!Grin

Must places are great about returning it's just people don't as they think it's cheeky.

I'm never sure how they can colour match properly with all those bright lightsConfused I tend to ask for a sample to take home to try, then go back and buy it if I like it still after a week.
