Hair breakage at hairline

I have noticed in the last month that my hair has broken a good bit at the hairline. There are wispy bits an inch or two long sort of above my temples - where men's hair often starts to recede.

I am white with long thick hair that I often tie up. Actually almost all the time. Including in bed. I have stopped that now, but what else can I do? I am really conscious of it!

I am 30 so hopefully too young for the damn stuff to be falling out. Had a child a year ago if that tallies with anyone's experience.

Hellllllllllllp

I'm afraid splurging not within my wherewithal at the mo, though I will file that information! I might get a length of plain silk from JL haberdashery though...

within my wherewithal, does that even make sense? it's 1am here, I just made an entire meal for tomorrow on a whim, I should stop talking about my hair and go to bed!

Ah. Are you not in the UK? Disregard all my shopping advice (unless they'll deliver).

In California, soon to return for a shopping trip visit :)

California? I am beyond jealous.

I had DC3 10 months ago, at about 3/4 months postpartum I lost a lot of hair. Now I have 2 inches of regrowth all over my head. It looks awful, all I can do is wear my hair down and wait for it to grow out. The hair loss and then regrowth has gotten more extreme with each child. You have my sympathies!

Rooty, TK Maxx (they have another name in the US I think) do 100% silk scarves for about £10. Just make sure it's big enough.

My hairline went all wispy and tangly too. I use a blob of serum on wet hair to smooth it all down. This one is nice.

Sounds familiar...I have 1 yr old DS and have 1-2" re growth on hairline, in front ears (finally can tuck behind now!) and in parting. Didn't notice great thick hair or loss after but have noticed this, tho guess its positive to have new growth! Looking forward to it getting longer as wispiness is not great. Used argan oil to tame it today. Usually use BBH, but new growth is too short to catch it so it looks frizzy after. Good luck with horse shampoo, sounds intriguing!

Don't be jealous Maud, I basically live between two motorways.

I have the pony shampoo! will let you know if it's any cop. It's cheap, at any rate: manentail.com/

Yes, but they're still two motorways in California!

Hope the shampoo helps.
