My dd is 5 and wears a 10 (about size 30). She absolutely trashes her footwear, last year beautiful Ricosta purple suede boots looked awful after a month. But patent might not be as breathable for her? Clarks just don't last the distance IMO so not buying from there again. She needs black for school & depending on cost of those, some purple or grey ones too. Last year I trawled Amazon & found loads as I used their 20% off deal. Can't find anything so far anywhere so please make some suggestions!

Deichmann are good value for boots. These are cute.

Dd tends to get Ricosta ankle boots with the waterproof lining. I hate wellies so she wears these whatever he weather. They are properly waterproof and bombproof too. Because of the waterproof liner doesn't matter if shoes get scuffed etc.

I bought the ricosta boots last year, they did stay waterproof but there's scuffed and then there's completely trashed! Bought ricosta for two of the boys and they look awful too. They're still in good nick and can be worn again, but I spent half of last winter cleaning them so dc wouldn't look like tramps! Don't really want to spend £40 a pair for them to look rubbish.
Are Deichmann leather, good price if they are but suspect not.
Hush puppies look great, had totally forgotten about them. Thanks all..

I had Agatha Ruiz de Prada boots for DT last year - purple with patent toe and a gorgeous design. They wore really well. Now on the hunt again this year - Clarks have so little choice which is a PITA when I have twins to kit out. Was just having a look at Lelli Kelly who have some sweet ankle boots but what a price x 2!

I got John Lewis these for DD2

Agatha Ruiz look gorgeous, I love them and they seem quite practical. The John Lewis Isobel boots came today, they were £30 and actually very nice leather, I like that they're mid-calf too. JL rock. The soles aren't as substantial as the Noel shoes she has, but can't justify £50-70 on those kind of boots for school when she needs (well I want her to have!) some others for after school, weekends etc that are a bit more exciting & colourful.
Mrs McGregor, did you start a girls boot thread this time last year? Because I have dts too and I remember this Op buying Agatha Ruiz boots!

AQ - funny, I was wondering just today whether you had got sorted out yet! Which JL boots did you order? Maybe they're linked earlier in the thread, if so just ignore me! Yes, that was me last year - nc'ed since then. They were fabulous boots and wore really well. And sold well on eBay! I still can't decide what to get for the girls this year and they really need them now. Clarks have nice brown ankle boots but they wouldn't be right with dresses whereas last year's boots went with everything. And I don't really want them to have the same boots. Sigh.

I think you did better last year than me then Mrs! I have to buy black for school for dd so limited - Isobel boots were very boring. Ok with jeans & cords but for dresses I agree something different needed. Have you come across Livie & Luca? Scrumptious.
