Tips for stretching new boots

I have bought a new pair of boots that lots of people were raving about...marten wedge boots and indeed they are lovely! But the right boot is quite restrictive on the top of my foot. Any tips for stretching them out before the bones in my feet give out?!

I have heard lots of wet newspaper scrunched into them and left a day or two to dry (but I'd worry about print transfer).. Maybe stuff them with lots of old rags and see if that helps? Otherwise, I think you can have shoes professionally stretched by a cobbler..

Here's what I do: buy a can of shoe stretching spray (punch do one for about £5 I think) and squirt liberally into shoes/boots. Put on your thickest sports/hiking socks. Walk around the house in them for an evening. Never fails!
