Bra intervention specialists, this way please

I have just measured using the intervention method. (Under boobs and then around boobs at 90 degree angle?)

Around the back was 34 and around boobs was 41 (inches) I'm a size 12-14 on top so does that sound about right?

What size does that make me? And can someone point me in the direction of well made, no too expensive, underwired bras for bigger cups.

Thanks

I think that would make you roughly a 34F. You do need to try at least a size up and down to be sure though. Hopefully one of the more experienced bra ladies will be along soon to advise you

yup start at 34f but try probably one cup smaller and two above to be sure you get it right. brastop, mycurvesandme, amazon are all great for bargains

Hi, can I ask a question also?

I'm sure I'm good size wise (more or less a 30F) but I'm finding it hard to find pretty bras and so choosy on fit that I have not got many I am comfortable with.

I am fairly tall and looking for something silk or satiny.

My favorite bras are currently more lacy .. they are the lovely Empreinte Thalia (expensive imo), the Panache Idina and the Panache Andorra.

Can you help? Currently I think the Masquerade Hestia is the only possible I've seen.

Fauve do some beautifully luxurious bras but they are pricey! The new Cleo Lily is made from lovely material.

These are my exact measurements (did it today too) but I read online it should translate as 34E??

StatisticallyChallenged · 20/10/2013 20:32

an E is a 6" difference in most brands (A,B,C,D,DD,E)

Thanks Sorrel I will look. I had a Fauve a while ago when I was a different size. I did like it. But I didn't think they had any silky or satiny ones. I will have a look...

Ifyourhappy, I just bought two satine bras from bravissimo today. They look flippin lovely on. Dh's eyes popped out of his head when he saw them on. I'm a 30G and I'd say they are true to size. Nice matching pants too.

Thanks am looking at them...
