Hello,

I've found this site www.joythestore.com/

Has anyone shopped there before? I really like their clothes but not sure about quality etc.

Any feedback would be great!

Quality's not great but they have some very pretty things :)

PrincessFlirtyPants · 19/10/2013 15:51

Thanks, Elizabeth. They do have some very pretty dresses.

I've only ordered one dress before, it came and was horrible shiny sweaty fabric, such a disappointment. However, I've been into one of their shops and most of their stuff looks nice, so I think I was just unlucky.

PrincessFlirtyPants · 19/10/2013 15:56

Oh they have shops as well, that's good. I thought it was just online. Thanks for that!

I have a top from years ago which I love, but I've never bought anything since. I always think the quality looks/feels a bit disappointing in store.

They have lovely looking things though...

Yes, that's my suspicion OldRoan

Well I've only ever seen one, in London near Russell Square tube, but it was a nice shop. I was a bit gutted as I was only there for the day and couldn't buy anything as I was pregnant at the time.

OldRoan · 19/10/2013 17:51

Off the top of my head there are shops in Covent Garden, Southwark (blue fin building), and by St Paul's. I think the Russell Square one is the Brunswick Centre?

I got my top from one in Manchester, but that particular one has shut now.

I like the fact that their clothes are quirky. They are good for special occasions - less likely to spot someone in the same outfit as you.

Sadly I find their clothes a little expensive for my budget otherwise I would shop in there more often.

I have a fab navy fitted dress from Joy that I love (there's also a store in Bath now, and one in Guernsey!) - the quality can be quite variable though.

tyaca · 19/10/2013 20:07

Nice designs but really cheap fabric. If you want a quirky polyester dress then you could get one £20 - £30 in lots of other places rather than £40 - £60 they sell their stuff for.

Saying that, I bought a lovely cotton dress there a couple of summers ago, so they do have better quality stuff lurking, it's just worth checking the product info before you spend money on something that'll just male you sweaty! I also find they come up short on me - 5'7".

tyaca · 19/10/2013 20:09

oh, and in-store they don't do refunds just credit notes, so best to buy online anyway cause that allows you to return. there's a shop in Croydon

I think I'll give it a miss. I've just realised I've been into their Fulham Broadway store.

I like the style so will just have to carry on searching for this type of shop but with better quality.

Thanks all for your advice/input Smile
