Help me to keep warm at winter wedding

I have this dress from last year that I plan to wear to a wedding in November...

As I am not buying a new dress I feel quite justified (obviously!) in getting something nice to keep me warm. The question is, what would work with this?

I am a size 8 and will be wearing black slightly sparkly peep toe heels. In fact, if it's not against S&B etiquette to throw in another question should I go with black sheer tights or natural colour?

I really am hopeless at this Confused

It's a gorgeous dress. I'd wear sheer black tights. I've worn spanx under a dress like this to keep warm. We're going to a wedding in December and I'm planning to wear a dress coat with a pashmina for the church and out door bits. Mines a few years old from Reiss but I'll have a look for some for you...

Try Reiss, Coast, Phase 8

MrsHarford · 17/10/2013 13:12

Thanks. I do love Reiss and Coast & Phase 8 it's just that I'm a bit clueless about what I should be looking for.

Anybody else have any ideas??

I'd go for a black fur jacket. Black opaque tights but with shoeboots not peeptoes.

I second the black fur jacket!

MrsHarford · 17/10/2013 20:15

Ooh what a lovely cosy idea!

What do we think of this..

Too casual??

Hmm am struggling to find anything.

Not sure about quality

I like but its more a coat than a jacket

Those are more like jackets you would wear outside which is fine but you may look a bit daft sitting at dinner with your coat on and you are sure to be cold in that dress. Can you look for a bolero
Type fluffy jacket
Or shrug the you can keep it on all day?

bishboschone · 17/10/2013 22:37

Something like this ?

Laska42 · 17/10/2013 22:53

Coast I got one similar for £15 on ebay last year, none there in your size right now but might be worth keeping a look out.
