Dress emergency.....

Help! Had a radical haircut which now just looks butch :(

Combined with my post partum wide shoulders, bingo wings and mumtum, plus my short stumpy legs (thunder thighs) I am in despair!

DH's 40th on Sat and am throwing a surprise party - suddenly realised none of my dresses fit or go with my haircut.

Basically I'm thinking something like a wrap dress with sleeves, v-neck, wide swing skirt, just above knees, to wear with boots.

Any ideas??

Have you tried Phase Eight? I'm a different shape to you, but always find a dress for every occasion there. Best of luck! I'm thinking of having my shoulder length hair cut short too!

this? It's also available in blue and black.

MrsLettuce · 16/10/2013 17:06

Oh, probably a touch long, sorry.

Not exactly as suggested but...

Or....

Cute but only one size...

All slight alternatives to the swing skirt. Did you have a budget in mind? And I'm sure your hair will look great btw.

Oh MrsLettuce, that is gorgeous but yes, just a bit too long. If it was knee length it would be perfect!

I love that first one, but maybe a touch out of my price range...

eBay it is Grin

Couldn't you get a dress taken up if it's otherwise perfect?

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 16/10/2013 19:20

Crikey, I can barely sew a button. I'd be terrified of ruining the dress!

What do you think of this one ?

Not sure if it might be too short..... And could I wear it with boots?

Thanks so much for all your help Smile

Very pretty and feminine.

I didn't mean DIYHalloween Smile Don't you have a local alterations place? Or a dry cleaners that does that sort of thing?
